The Alien X is the sixth generation of the micro cam that obtained its first patent in 1986, in
Colorado (US). It retains its original character, with a version that has been improved in terms of performance and
finishes. Available in six sizes, the new Alien X features the
following improvements:
Functional improvements:
Cams with X-grip
texture
Improves the grip of the cams lobes. This texture allows friction without
deforming the shape of the cam.
Ergonomic trigger Makes placements easier and more
precise even with gloves.
Works as a passive
anchor Sizes 3/4 (yellow), 7/8 (grey) and 1 (red) can work as passive anchors with a load
of up to 5 kN.
Re-sizing There is now 3 mm more length between the trigger and the cam. It allows the cam to be placed deeper in cracks and removal
is easier and faster.

Color-coded
cam lobes
Alien X size recognition is faster.
Bolted cable The cable is now bolted to the head of the cam, eliminating the
welding process.
Recessed trigger wires The trigger wire ends are recessed inside the cams, preventing snags and
increasing durability.
Improved swage The new swage is smaller, has a rounded edge and is tapered for a smooth
transition to the thuumb loop.
The markings are laser etched.
Transparent
protective plastic Polyurethane (PU) tubing is more flexible,
to increase durability.
